Hello!

Place to shop for beauty products: Sephora
Drugstore cosmetic brand: Covergirl, Rialto Naturals
High end cosmetic brand: Clinque
Foundation: Mabyelline or MAC
Concealer: MAC
Eyeliner: Usually don't wear any, all I try enhance the very dark circles that I have, probally due to my insanely pale skin
Mascara: Can't remember the name (i'm at work) But it has a white end primer and a black mascara.
Blush: Can't find that perfect one.. I'm pale they all look to bright on me
Lipstick/Lipgloss: Stilla, a pale pink one.. or any strawberry lip gloss (i love the smell / flavor / shine )
Nail polish brand: Stilla
Perfume: Clinique happy
Men's Cologne: My husband usually just wears axe BUT I love quite a few, it's hard to name just one.
Shampoo: John Freidas Sheer blond for platinum blond ( I have natural white blond hair, and it goes funny colored easily with the water, this stuff keeps it shiny, silky and white :) )
Conditioner: John Freidas Sheer blond for platinum blond highlight activator - keeps my hair white, silky and brings out a few golden highlights that I have
Styling Product: Any good straightener
Soap/Shower gel: Too many to count, right now strawberry body shop
Bath additive (bubbles/ballistic/oil/salts etc..):
Definately a combo of bubbles and salts, works great in our jacuzzi tub, the salt kinda minimises the bubbles just a bit so they don't go out of controll
Do you have a facial cleansing ritual? If so, what is it and what products do you use? Are you happy with them, or looking for better ones?
I use the oil of olay daily facials morning and night, with oil of olay moisturizers for day and night, occasionally a mask and a scrub. I would like a better system, as I am starting to get breakouts at my old age of 22, that I did not have as a teen.

Preferred Hair Removal Method: Waxing everything but the legs, I shave those

Any other products you can't live without? The oil of olay in shower body moisturizers, they are great if you give yourself a bit of an extra rub when you get out. I also love bodyshop body butter.

Any products you hate, or have had a bad experience with?
None really, I seem to get lucky :)

hello girls!

i'm looking for a case to hold my makeup. i'm thinking like caboodles back in the day, but more grown up or pretty. i have bare minerals now (love) that i don't want to just throw in a bag, so i guess i need trays. have you girlies seen anything like this lately?

and for extra credit: how do you organize your beauty products? bag, drawers, purse, counter? what products must you keep on you at all times?

Intro

I wandered over here on orders from my fellow vixen princessbunny- she's going to help me do the makeover thing, because I think I've been wearing the same makeup for way too long, and I'm not sure all of it's right for me! It's been a while since I did anything different.

Favorites!
Place to shop for beauty products: Sephora. Or Target.
Drugstore cosmetic brand: Depends on what I'm buying.
High end cosmetic brand: MAC.
Foundation: I don't use. I should, probably. I'm thinking about Bare Minerals, can anyone tell me about that?
Concealer: Max Factor stick. I got the recommendation from some magazine- it's cheap and has been working well.
Eyeliner: MAC Prunella
Mascara: Maybelline Great Lash in black, but I don't wear it daily, I usually wear a clear from whatever brand. I'm trying to wear the real stuff more often.
Blush: Benefit Benetint.
Lipstick/Lipgloss: MAC Sheer Plum
Nail polish brand: Sally Hansen (the ones in the little cylinder bottles)
Perfume: Lucky You
Men's Cologne: Dakkar or Lucky You Men
Shampoo: Head and Shoulders (I've got no other option here if I don't want to be dandruffy)
Conditioner: Whatever's big at Costco
Styling Product: I wear my hair back almost every day at work, so none. A little gel on the weekends sometimes, whatever brand.
Soap/Shower gel: Dove sensitive skin.
Bath additive (bubbles/ballistic/oil/salts etc..): Bubble bath! Whatever is cheap, since I go through a ton of it-- I take baths almost every day.

Do you have a facial cleansing ritual? If so, what is it and what products do you use? Are you happy with them, or looking for better ones? Proactiv. My skin's been awful since I moved from NC to VA a year ago, and it's helped somewhat, but my skin's still way greasier than it was in NC for whatever reason. I also use Oil of Olay complete every morning. Oh, and I swipe my face with rubbing alcohol whenever I'm really oily.

Preferred Hair Removal Method: Shaving. I'd like to find a good waxer, though.

Any other products you can't live without? Chapstick Medicated- I get awful chapped lips and it's my favorite! My tweezers (I'm an obsessive and very good eyebrow plucker). My Shu Uemura eyelash curler. Lotion for my feet (again, whatever's cheap, since I go through a lot of it.)

Any products you hate, or have had a bad experience with? Liquid concealer... I always thought it was pretty good until I discovered how much better the stick stuff was. I suck at powder blushes, generally. And I dislike lip pencils or any shade dark enough to need them. I'm also terrified of eyeshadow with any color (besides neutrals).

My introduction

Name: Melanie

Place to shop for beauty products: I indulge in Sephora, but Target works too.
Drugstore cosmetic brand: Not one favorite. Covergirl pressed powder, Maybelline Lipgloss, etc
High end cosmetic brand: MAC
Foundation: Covergirl outlast. New one w/ prep step and color
Concealer: Need to find one for eyebags ;-P
Eyeliner: Almay liquid eyeliner
Mascara: Avon
Blush: Stila
Lipstick/Lipgloss: Clinique (black honey)
Nail polish brand: Any and all! Love O.P.I though.
Perfume: Kate Spade, and eek Britney Spears Curious.
Men's Cologne: John loves Aramis Life and Herbalife Soul
Shampoo: Aussie moist shampoo
Conditioner: Aussie moist conditioner
Styling Product: My flat iron? I don't use hair styling stuff very much.
Soap/Shower gel: Too many! Love B&BW, but want to try out Coconut Hut soon
Bath additive (bubbles/ballistic/oil/salts etc..): Im addicted to shower gels.

Do you have a facial cleansing ritual? If so, what is it and what products do you use? Are you happy with them, or looking for better ones? I love Burt's Bees Garden Tomato face soap and toner. Smells just like garden tomatoes. I use Aruba Aloe face moisturizer too. I need a better blemish fighter stuff though.

Preferred Hair Removal Method: Eh, I shave it. I have fair hair, so no need to do otherwise

Any other products you can't live without? My MAC loose powder. Love that stuff. Also my Farouk/Sunglitz repair & shine stuff for my hair. I put it on my ends just out of the shower and it keeps them nice and pretty.

Any products you hate, or have had a bad experience with? I didn't care for Sephora's mascara much. I had to use so many coatings just to feel like it stuck.
